Cheapest way to lift?
Cheapest way to lift?
Ive recently been thinking about adding 2 or 3in of lift to my 89 but want to do it fairly cheap. I am not to worried about making it ride smooth because i dont take the truck on more than a 40 or 50 mile drive but i do want to do it safely do to pulling loads of cattle and other things. I thought about body lift but with having a flat bed it just wouldnt look right. so whats the cheapest way to lift it?
I put add a leafs on my truck and i think it really helped the look. The ride is a little rougher but if i wanted a nice ride i wouldnt have bought this truck. I think it only cost me right around 110 to do it. Well worth it i think. I think to 2 inches makes it look better
Skyjacker springs are great, and only $500-600.
Add a leafs will get the job done. If you have a 4x4, with badly sagged front springs like mine was, the add a leaves will keep you off the bump stops.
If you have access to a fab shop and a lot of little scrap metal you can fab up some new lower spring hangers, but it would likely be more time consuming than money saving.
