i have the top half of one of these pumps on my truck. i boght it for $50 bucks. it had a half inch or so longer fuel screw and a diff gov. spring. everything else in the top was the same. so i put the 366 in it and it is workin good. but i dont know enough about the bottom half to say anything about that.

Oh, I wouldn't put one in now if you gave me one after hearing all the warnings about them. Keep 'em fueled, cooled, don't spin 'em to the moon...and you still have to pray it doesn't make it 5K miles and fail. What a joke.

I'm not some VE pump purist, I'm into parts that work...

The biggest turn-off is this, though: I have a reliable truck that has dynoed 800 rwhp that could be daily driven if it came down to it. How could I justify having a 500 rwhp truck with a pump that could fail at any time because it was too "extreme" of a pump.

Back on topic, though, Pure Diesel has the best price on a VE that I have seen.
