years ago had to rebuild the starter on my brother 6.2 diesel , in the mcdonalds parking lot after they pushed it out of the way. glad you got it fixed.

You're lucky you can even GET Carter pumps anymore. I cant find them in this hole of mediocrity. All I could get was an Airtex, or a Made in some foregin land junk from NAPA. I have an airtex, but may have to order a Carter from somewhere and return the Carter.

The Airtex cost about the same as the Carter.

Whats the Carter pump P/N, and is there any difference between the first gen years, are they interchangeable?
