Hello all,<br> I recently bought an early 91 W250 Auto with 206000 miles on it. The original owners manual contained all service entries since new. That is what sold me on it. It appears to be pretty well maintained and with little &quot;shabby&quot; work on it.<br> <br> The only thing that I have found so far has been related to the A/C compressor. The log and a receipt I found showed that the compressor was replaced on 5-29 of this year. Now, while looking over the engine compt., I found a wire that was grounded to the fender that was obviously not factory. I traced it down to the ground for the compressor and noticed that the compressor will not cycle on and off. I looked over the circuit in the shop manual and think the previous owner may have done this to get by one of the switches that possibly went bad. The compressor will not cycle on without the ground to the fender. I looked and found the &quot;temperature cycle switch&quot; that calls for the compressor to come on when the H line is above 45 F but all checks on this switch show it being open at ambient temperature. Is there something I may be missing or could I be on the right track in thinking that this switch may be bad. I know that some Dodges had problems with the control panel switches but all of the vacuum side of the switches work fine. Dont know about the electrical side of them. <br>Thanks for giving us a place to turn to for help.<br>Chris Ammons<br>
