I drove Mike's (Apoc) 93 w250 tonight , he just got it back this week from the tranny shop. That TC and shift kit make one heck of a difference! it's hard not to break the tires loose , on a completely stock truck !

 

I'm actually fairly impressed with the results once it all got broke in, however I still wish I would have got a valve body upgrade... But oh well... I'm pleased nonetheless...

Come spring though she'll be bombed to the hills... so watch out y'all... You're in for a bit of a shock

 

What converter and shift kit did you end up using?

 

If you want a great valve body upgrade go to www.htstransmissions.com. I have a full HTS tranny. If shifts hard and have noticed better mpg and went quicker in the 1/4 mile. Most aftermarket valve bodies raise the line pressure alittle if any, the HTS raises it a lot and you wont have any slipping.

 

I don't personally know the brand name of the TC , mikes uncle has a tranny shop , and he did the rebuild.

I might also add his truck now has a mild traction problem , when i say mild , i mean WOT from a stop light (no brake stand) produces pretty good wheel spin, and it is known to occasionally break then loose again on the shift to second.

 

On a stock truck? Hmm, I guess I might be able to justify $2500 for a goerend tranny...

 

Yes , that is on a completely stock truck (for now , insert devil laugh here) it has 265 michelins on it.

I wish I could swap in a OD tranny. Any options for us 3 speed guys to get an OD fairly cheap?

That entire "by the end of summer" deadline kind of made a turbo whistle as it flew by me...

What do you mean when you say that you installed a new "shift ****"? I thought that a shift **** was the thing on the side of the steering column... (Under which case a pretty one adds five horespower, correct?)

But in better news, I have found somebody who can design the custom vinyl wrap for my truck!
