Thumbs up Building Sleeper in Club Cab

I`m in the prosess of building sleeeper in club cab , the heigth is about that of the jump seats + the height of matress. My son and i have a hobby/business ,buying cars and cleaning them up and selling them. First weekend in march we went to bloomington IN. this weekend we are going to Lexington KY. to pick up a car . we use a car trailor tandum axle ,and you dont eaven know its there with or without a car on it. the trip is 522 each way so the sleeper will be handy.

Ill post some picts when its done. it will leave room under the sleeper for tools, we always take a good supply, never know what you are going to need when picking up a car 500 + miles from home . I`m making it so its removable so when i want it out i can do that two.
Should work out well so my son and i can take turns getting some sut eye. We usally drive streight through pick up car and head streight back,so you are usally looking at 1,000 mi + ,can get a little tired doing that.

When we went to Blumington picked up car had it loaded tied down and back on road in 20 min.

Keep us posted. I would love to see some kind of "sleeper" system for the QC that looks clean and could be taken out easy.

I have thought of this as well. I think mounting it lower might be required though unless you are very short. You will need the area that the jump seats are in to give more head and foot room. I will watch this thread though. Would be handy on trips for quick camping stops.

Yea, I`ve got it pretty well planed out, already have cut piece of 3/4 plywood and mortised 1 1/2 oak and glued it on front edge to give it strength, it will rest on jump seats on both sides and have a 6 in piece of foam rubber for matress this will give area behind jump seats to put feet, (Extra length ) MY boy is almost 16 and about 6 ft tall he will need it! I`m only 5 9 1/2 so its real good for me.
Could also curtain it verry easy back window both sides and an expandable curtain rod in the front eaven with front of bunk.
