Looks like a good kit! should save you some time than putting it all together from scratch

So I got the kit today. Looks pretty good. Things are triggered by one headlight plug feeding two 40a relays. The plugs on the headlights are 14ga, including the grounds, and each relay has its own 25a fuse. The only thing I dont like are the pink plugs and fuse holders. Other than that its about what I expected...chinese relays etc....we'll give it a shot!

Where are your diodes at? Are they on the plug ends?

So I did as Bob said and opened up the harness and remove the two diode setups. The smaller one that is at the "input" plug just unplugs, but the one inside the main harness I had to cut out and put a butt splice in there. All I can say is : WOW :, Ive got some bright headlights now! Definitely worth the $32 bucks since I did not have to source the parts from different places.

bobva, did you try them before you put the Bosch relays on? If so, did they make any difference or are they more for peace of mind/reliability?

Exclamation *****note*****

When you delete the larger diode, do not connect the blue wire back into it, just connect the white ones. If you dont, you pretty much run both beams at once...they brighten when you hit the high beams, but I think its only because your are providing two +12v supplies to a filament.

safety 40 amps is two big for the lights in my truck.

tomorrow the 25 amp fuses will be placed with 15 or 20 amp fuses

It's better to under amp than over amp 10 cent fuse I can pop lots of them

over amping your breakers leads to fire

I bought a relay kit from Summit a couple years ago. It had some real funny looking Chinese relays it it, which actually only lasted a couple months. Of course these relays had some really obscure footprint, and I couldn't match them up anywhere, so I ended up replacing the relays AND connectors. At least the relay kit shown here appears to use a common ISO relay and connector. That's a point in its favor.

for 30 bucks great assembly. I did the math If I built this from scratch 60 bucks plus

light sockets 20

wire 20

relay sockets 20

fuel 20

and ontop of all that I'd have lots butt connections in my lights
