block heater - standard equipment?

while looking at the info on the visor in my 92 i noticed that it had instructions for when to implement a block heater. i've taken a quick gander but i couldnt see any cords sticking out from anywhere, but sometimes things are hard to find on a new (to me) vehicle.

so my question is... is a block heater standard equipment? where would i find it if it did in fact exist?

I think it's standard equipment...It'll be located in a freeze plug hole on the passenger side of the block near the oil filter. If the cord is gone, there'll just be a 2-prong connector threaded into the block. I never knew the cord came off, but i popped it off today when changing the oil.
