Block Heater

Yeah I know that as long as you have a strong battery one is not really needed here in SE Pennsylvania. But I'm tired of starting it 20 minutes prior to leaving so I priced the blocke heater unit at NAPA today. Holy Crap they want $140.00 for the heater unit and cord, not sold seperately.

What is wrong with yours? They all came the element in the block, unless it got taken out or it is broken. A cord from ebay is 25 at most with shipping. I'm sure you can get an element for cheap too.

Something else that makes these cold blooded motors warm up faster is a 125 watt oil pan heater. INSTANT oil pressure and quicker warm ups.

You should have a factory installed block heater already on your truck. Look under the hood, around and under your intake hose for an electrical cord...
