block coolant drains

The manual says these are near the front above the pan rail. I couldn't find them. Can anyone direct me to them?

Thanks

I just rebuilt my engine and don't remember any block drains when I had it out. I actually thought that it was weird that there wasnt any. One thing I did notice is that when you remove the engine oil cooler is remove, that the opening is flush with the bottom of the coolant passage.

I looked for those rascals myself tonight... The one on the driver side is about 6" above the oil pan line and forward just behind the power steering pump... I think. Looks like a bolt in the side on the engine,,, 12 or so MM. The one on the passenger side... I ain't found it yet...

they are most likely going to be the "bolt" style rather then the petcock style.

I goofed up, the manual says "for vehicles not equipped with diesel engines". But it doesn't say where they are on the diesel. I pulled the one by the ps pump and that had oil on it.
