Big road trip!!

so im taking a road trip from poulsbo washington to michigan. on the way back i will be towing a two horse slant (not loaded except for a few boxes of clothes and what not). I have changed the oil, flushed the radiator (which it needed looks like the previous owner never took the time to do it), new tires and greased all my fittings. is there anything else that i might want to double check before a long haul in my first gen? this will be the first big trip im taking this truck on. any thoughts would be awsome. thanks.

If your AT fluid isn't fresh then replacing it may pay off on a long pull. Also blast any crap you can off the rad fins and AT cooler, ... oh you may have done that with the rad flush. Enjoy the trip!

And an alternator and a regulator and a water-pump and some U-joints and a log-chain and a Handy-man jack and lots of cash.

If you have enough cash, you can omit some of the other items; like Cyndi says "money changes everything".

Go buy a new radiator cap. Mine got me a few months ago and would have cost me a 79 mile tow home if it weren't for AAA. Thought it was a blown h/g for a sec.

x2 on the voltage regulator.

Check all your connections to the battery.

hey-Hey!!!,
That's about 1/2 hour from me. Even if nothing goes wrong with your truck, you're welcome to pay a visit if timing works out.
cheers,
Douglas
