Best Source for Custom EDM Injectors
Glad to hear your rethinking about the purchase of those injectors. The ones you were wanting are real big. Getting the truck tuned for towing would have taken some work.
A few things that would help in the towing deptmartment.
Your not showing any exhaust work. Get a 4" system under the truck. That is good for a 100 degree drop in EGT's at WOT. Thats a worth while upgrade.
If you still have the stock 90 degree air horn going into the engine. Throw it away. Eather a set of cooltubz's or a 2nd gen air horn is good for around a 50 degree drop in EGT's at WOT.

I am intersted in the injectors from new era aswell but how do you pick what size you need?
So far my truck has pump turned up. gillett 14cm kit with the fast spin mod. also had the 62 cm compressor from them 4 inch exhaust and a intercooler set up..aiming to keep my highway crusing mpg up and my stoplight mpg down, so how do i pick what injectors I want from them?

Any of the smaller tiped injectors can be set up to tow with and give good power for that purpose. A friend of mine has had a couple different sets of injectors in his truck and he tows heavy. POD's with some adjustments make a good tow injector. Its to bad they haze at idle. Bosch 190's make a good towing injector without haze at idle.
We took a load to upstate IL once. The trailer was 3500 empty and a case tractor at 14k. WOT temps were 1150 max with the 190's in it, cruise temps were 800. Power was no problem. This was flat land towing about like you have in your area. On trip I saw him make he grossed at 29K with a load of round bales. No problems with EGT's and he was lucky and didn't find a DOT cop.
Remember setting up for towing is different than setting up a dyno queen. I set a truck up so I can do a full throttle pull up a hill if needed. 30 seconds of usable full power on a hill is use less.
Another rule I have is to never fully trust a type K thermoucouple. This is the style most pyro's use. I worked many years in injection molding maint. I have seen many type K's go bad. Most before they go open will always read low on temps. Most people and cummins say 1250 max. I don't set a truck up for more than 1150 myself.
In a earlyer post I told you I have a set of 6x.018's. I can tow with them. But I have a full 4" exhaust, HX40/16, 2nd gen air horn, IC opened to full 3" tubes. Right now with 10k on a WOT blast I would hit 1100 or so. With no trailer or load I see a max of 1000 at WOT around 90 MPH starting from a dead stop. I have an auto trans also.

The 2nd gen air horn droped EGT's 50 degrees at all engine RPM ranges. When I swap to it I had done no changes on my setup in a few months. So I had a good base line.
I have dyno'd a set of cooltubz and the 2nd gen intake. The truck made three pulls with the second gen intake setup. I switched to the cooltubz with the truck still straped on the dyno and made 3 more pulls. Both setups were so close on HP and torque it isn't worth talking about.
On the 2nd gen air horns on ebay they normaly bring right around $30. Be carefull on them there are three air horn that could be used. 2nd gen early models have a big wing on them. 2ng gen 24 valve do not have the wing. Eather one can be used. A 3rd gen will bolt on. Do Not use this one. It restricts down very bad inside. It isn't any better than our stocker.
Here are a couple of pic's. The 1st pic is comparing a 1st gen air horn to a 2nd gen. The air horn on the left is the 1st gen.

This next pic shows the inside of a common rail air horn. Do Not buy one of them. Thanks to member Tworline for this pic.

TWorline can make the 3" connector tube for the 2nd gen air horn. He supplied mine.

No praise for NE
I used to praise chuck at new era, but I no longer can. It starts a long time ago when I order some 370s from him. They arrive, dirty, washers obviously crushed and the packaging has 285 marked out with a sharpie and 370 written in. With a call chuck assured me that they where just a random set pulled and run for quality control...ok, I hear chuck is cool. They run good, more power than stock, a little miss, eh, whatever its a diesel. Finally dyno....what a disappointment, I made 35 less hp that 3 people running identical setups, in different locations, who made identical hp.... Call chuck, tell him about it, and he agrees that it should have made more. Says he will ship out another set...3 weeks pass, nada. Call him...edm problems...two more weeks, nada. Call him again and expressed concern and asked about some 415's (since I was dabbling with twins and was willing to pay the difference), he said for my troubles he would just swap me for those! Sweet, I felt good again about new era.....a month passes, no injectors, another week, I call, I email, nothing....I sent him an email that I could no longer praise his work on the boards. I told him I would only tell the situation, but no badmouthing....rant.
