I would go with ceramic pads if you tow they seem to hold up better to the heat and no more brake dust on your rims. If you use metalic you will be buying new rotors on your next brake job.

TIA.
Just FYI, from what I am reading, ceramic pads are NOT recommended for towing. They tend to hold heat longer, fade quicker, and wear the rotors faster. Slotted and grooved rotors are NOT recommended for towing applications. They tend to reduce braking and can crack under heavy use. Some have opined that the holes and grooves create stress points that promote cracking under heavy usage. Most of the people who haul heavy recommend oem style rotors and semi-metalic pads. FWIW, That is what I'm finding on this and other forums, as I have been searching the same info.

I've been pretty happy with the Performance Friction product available from Autozone. Stop good, quiet and clean, reasonable wear and reasonable cost...at least a couple years ago anyway. For rotors, a quality oem type rotor is best for towing, you want the largest heat sink available.
I was looking on tire rack cause i am in the same boat needs brake pads and rotors. im getting the brembo rotors i think they are on sale and pretty cheap 109.00 for the set cant really beat it. but pads im not sure i was looking at the HAWK pads. anyone have any experience or heard anything about them?
I am running rear disc and hydra boost but Hawk Performance pads made a good bit of difference before the booster swap.
Can someone supply a part number for the Brembo rotor to fit a First Gen?
