Nylon. It will outlast the rest of the tensioner.
I have a nylon wheel that is worn down 1/4". Maybe it's because the pivot was going bad, but I went with a metal one to be sure....

Count me in for a tensioner assembly as well. The belt has slipped over on mine and I think at 341,000kms its probably due anyways. Should I replace the belt while I'm in there? I just replaced it last year but I guess its possible that its wearing funny with the shot tensioner in there.

If it doesn't have excessive crosswise cracks and all 10 ribs are still there it will be fine.

Be careful AZ doesnt pull the old switch-a-roo on ya. They had a Dayco listed in stock, but it turned out to be some Made-in-Korea piece. I needed it NOW, and no one else locally had one in stock, so I ran it. Kept the receipt.

I ran a Gatorback belt, and it squealed louder than the one I had taken off. Tried to return it, and AZ said since it had been run, they wouldnt give me a refund. You can have it for free if you want to clean the dust off it, AND if Mom can find it (I was living at her house at the time). It is for a nonIC with AC. I went with a Gates from NAPA. Cost <$20 with the shop discount.

Well, I just finished the install, all of 7min worth It was a DAYCO, said so on the braket, and works perfect

The original assembly has a groove worn into it from the belt, I'm going to get a pic to post, kinda scary

Anyway, Thank you all for your help.
