beefing up the front end?
last week i was helping my buddy trasport a transmission and when we got back to his house i snaped my steering box braket and i couldnt find one. but i went on the sticky and found the part number so i should have that tomaro. but now my question is that gona keep happening and i herd that ram chargers have a bracket that goes in to the frame to strenthin the steering box braket. i want to know if this is somthing should i do befor i lift it, to beef up the front end. and were do you find this braket if its real.
What you need to do is just invest in the crossover steering and dump that stupid bracket and drag link with the big tires you will love the way it drives after your done .but for right now as it look's like you don't have a lift just put the new bracket on and make sure it's tight and don't worry for a while .
You use your same box and bolt it directly to frame .I bought a kit you can google dana 60 crossover steering I believe the kit was 400 with shipping and it is complete with instruction's .Makes the first gen's turn on a dime and give you 9 cent's change .
I think this is the part you're seeking:

On my stock '72 W200 I have a different beefy CAST iron mounting bracket with regular drag link setup but the steering box is 90 degrees rotated so the arm moves forward and back on a vertical plane as opposed to horizontal like on my 1990. IS this a strong setup or should I do crossover as well on that one.
