Bed falling apart

I took my Pentaliner out today to clean under it, and found numerous cracks all around the bed (besides the mega crack from the wood hauling incident). I have some dings in the bodywork also.

I'm not sure what to do next. The more my truck body decays the more I start thinking about putting my '41 Dodge Power Wagon sheet metal on this frame....

Did you say bed ? Did I say you have not done enough screwing in it? May be just a few more screws in it will make it work. Real long screws buy the way. Of course sheet metal work better than wood screws. Use the ones with the Robinson *** at the end. Good luck old chap.

Yeah, my gal has a lot of cracks around the corners of the bed. I hoping to weld them up this summer and figure out how to reinforce them. I think after that I will have some bedliner sprayed on about 1/4" thick 4" down from the rail to protect things.

I'm with you. That seems to be the best course of action.
