bd exhaust brake question

hey guys, well im wanting to go ahead with purchasing an exhaust brake for my truck, but i have stock valve springs, do i need to go with 60lb exhaust valve springs? or can i do it with out? and do you know if they make the exhaust brake for 5" piping, thats what i have stuffed in my rig as close as 8" from my turbo

Have installed several BD brakes, and they have a lower spec for the brake pressure adjustment if you keep your factory springs. The brake just won't be as effective.

it is very easy to change the exhaust springs the tool is only about $20 and takes about two hours. the last time i talked to bd they did not have one for the 5" but that was three years ago you could use two 5x4 adapters
