Banjo bolt torque
Banjo bolt torque
I am gettin ready to install the threaded banjo bolt for a fuel pressure gauge. Does anyone know if the bolt has to be torqued to a specific number and if so what is it? Another question is has anyone installed an electric sending unit on a 92? Seems like there has to be a bit of plumbing to get the sending unit to a clear area. Anyone have a pict of how they did it?
thanks for the help

I just did mine last week. Its 17 ft/lb torque; but I don't have a torque wrench
so just snugged it up. Just be careful not to over tighten is all, if its snug and doesn't leak your good to go. Careful of the little washers, there are two.

Not sure what your asking about the npt. There is a replacement banjo bolt, I got mine from genos that is tapped for the connection for the plumbing for the gauge either electric or machanical.
I put it in this morning. I got pretty lucky. I tried to remove the inside washer but it was in there pretty good. I just replaced the outside one and connected the sending unit and fired er up. Took er out and no leakes. I gotta do the wireing in a minute or two.
If anyone is goin to use an electric unit I use a 45* elbow to get around the throttle linkage. Man just makes it but it works fine. (so far). Genos banjo bolt 45* angle then the sending uint. Juuuuuuuuuust fits with a littl bending of the throttle bracket.

I used the aftermarket banjo from Geno's too. No issues with torquing. I also used brass fittings from the banjo bolt outward to clear the dipstick and all, works like a charm.
I just took the original and drilled and tapped to 1/8 national pipe thread, it is too thin at the shoulder for this in my opinion... I didnt know about the Geno's part.
does this come with the washers?
thanks...
