Same here but a new thought just hit me. I would like to have seen the recovery pics, especially after they got it ready to transport. Hey boss, can you bring out the boomerang trailer?

If that was a non intercooled truck with the Half ton frame, it probably would have broke, thank god it was a 92 or 93 with the big tall frame.

looks like there would have to have been a lot of weight in the bed to keep it from going over the edge

I noticed that too but then in 2 of the pics you can see a trailer attached to the truck. The trailer was keeping it from going over no doubt.

I would about edit my pants if that happened to me...
I have never seen this before and am surprised. That is a long way to fall if that truck went over...

Looks like one of those Foldable trucks to save space.

I would not of wanted the driver to ride in my wrecker on the way home either.

I think what probably kept it from going over is how close to the side of the bridge the front half of the truck landed.

If the frame folded at the top of the rail there would be a lot less leverage to pull the back half over than if it was a foot farther out.

However if it got this far the frame could have easly sheared and the front half just separate and leave the bed sitting there like a home built trailer.

Has anyone ever really heard what had happened?

Was it rusted out and at some time grossly overloaded or was it just fate screwing with the guy.

I'm guessing that he was driving along and then it started to jack knife on him the front end hit the side of the bridge the weight of the trailer made the front go over and the truck slid on the wall which made the frame rails fold over causing a weak spot at which point it just bent. But that is just a guess.
