average boost @ 65mph

Just wondering what the average boost is for a 1st gen with a 16cm housing when cruising @ 65mph on flat highway. I get about 3-4psi driving with as little pedal as needed to maintain 65. Just wondered if this was normal. thanx

Mine is about that also unless I start going up a hill, then it might climb to 8 - 10 or so.

I don't have overdrive, but everything I read indicates an average of 10mph differance in my readings compared to trucks equipped with o.d.. I am in that same area on boost at 55mph. Your boost will be up when the engine is working, but will drop to nothing when slowing or going down hill.

Re:average boost @ 65mph

Here on the flat lands, I set the cruise at 110kph and I am running between 2 and 3 psi of boost. Once she is rolling it takes very little effort to keep her there.
18cm housing.
No Tach.
In overdrive.

Re:average boost @ 65mph

at 65 i might make 2psi on level ground, at 75 I'll make 4-5psi (with 3.55's) empty. very rarely empty do I see double digit boost, unless i get into it. Goose it in 3rd and it'll go to 15psi empty pretty quick tho
