Anyone ever run in the 60-130mph drags?
Those springs are kinda just a suggestion. After throwing away the high idle screw and fiddling with the linkage to where it missed the stop and hit the side of the pump (like 130 degrees rotation) , I could hit 3500 with almost full fuel no problem.

Well if your ever down in the area it would be fun to get some diesels in the mix with all those cars that cost $100k+
I may see if Mike from HotRodDiesels can bring out his truck. Its a street legal 97' with the factory power windows, factory AC, stock IC, and last I spoke with him he was sunning 10.0's in the quarter.

Going by the stock speedo and 4.10's you'll be running 4200rpms at 32mph in 3rd gear.

I still do custom LS tuning and used to run a 2000 Z28 M6 with alot of Lingenfelter goodies. HPTuners is also handy on the Dmax, but not nearly as good as EFI Live. I'll be ordering the DSP5 soon. Anyway thats a different subject and different play toy.

Well basicaly the 3200rpm spring will set the gov to 3200rpm with STOCK throttle rotation. If you back the high idle screw out to where its set just before the mechanical stop then you will get much more rotation on the throttle shaft. This pulls the 3200rpm spring longer with more tention on it, effectivly increasing the resistance on the gov to defuel. Its pretty common to be able to run up to about 3500-3600rpms before defueling. But you will need to relocate your linkage to the next inner hole and be sure its adjusted correctly so when the go pedal is on the floor you get full fuel.
I can try to find a picture of the relocated linkage if you need it?
