So I am working on the dreaded mooshy pedal / ABS + Brake light issue, and Im in the market for a new MC.

Autozone apparently carries a Fenco brand with a lifetime warranty for $16.99.. Sounds too good to be true coming it at half price for other brand new/remans on Rockauto, Kragen, etc..

Other than that, is one brand better than another ? AC Delco, Raybestos, Wagner, Bendix, etc..

If I dont go this route, I'll probibly end up grabbing one of those new/closeouts on Rockauto.. My only hesitation here is they only have 30day warranty, and have read several stories of having several failures before getting a working unit.

 

I have a reman from autozone. It has been on there since november of last year and it is still working great. It doesnt even leak from the lid.

 

I've never bought a m/c from them so I can't say. But I've bought starters, alternators, fuel pumps ect. from them and they have the best warranty of anyone. I say that because everything i've gotten there has failed all at the most inopertune times "but they warranteed it all". After 2 or 3 change outs i'd go to Napa and get the parts there. I see you live in Cali and they may have a different company rebuilding for them out that way, here they don't have much quality. Hope you have as good of luck as comptz has had. Good luck.

 

16.99 sounds pretty cheap.. I have the 50 dollar one from China Zone and it is leaking at the lid and at the seal between the booster... It is brand new, less than 3 months old.. I am ticked!!! Just noticed it today, taking the paint off the frame

 

Thats cheap! They go for 100 bucks around here. And mines been on since decemberish last year. Still working fine, but a pita to bleed properly. Dont know if thats my fault, but i have bled a few brakes in my day sooooo... I dunno, I cant complain about it.
