The previous owner of my donor truck had glued the actual mirror glass back to the plastic backing at some point. Well, that glue decided to let go, and now I'm without glass in my drivers mirror.

Has anyone taken them apart before? What is holding the mirror glass to the plastic backing? I don't want to start prying on my other set and break them just yet...

You can find replacement glass for cheap at AutoZone and other parts stores. That said, you need a replacement regardless. You could take a chance and try removing the other mirror glass. If it breaks, you have another to replace it with.
