Any difference when a 205 attaching to a 727/518

Any difference when a 205 attaching to a 727/518

I located a 205 t case for my build and it comes with a 518 core. I am planning on placing the 205 with a 47rh. I have a friend with a 727 that wants the 518. Anything special that he needs to be there in order to attach the 518 to the original 727 location?

Isn't the A518 almost a foot longer than the 727? If it is, drive shafts and linkage changes are necessary.

Both will have the same spline count 23 if I recall correctly. It's only the 5 speed that has the bigger spline count.

i had a problem with the shaft coupler hitting the seal in the trans. since the 205 has a 2 way seal i removed the trans seal and filled the groove between the cases and have had no problems for 70k plus miles.

Thanks...I picked both tranny and t case up yesterday. I will be using the t-case to attach to a 47rh I found.
