Alternative to a New truck
Being how my current truck is missing the front axle, I have a 74 Power Wagon ext cab and would kill to drop a 12v in it 
It has a Dana 60 rear Dana 70 front with closed hubs. I heard cabs from 85ish and up are the same up to the end, mainly concerning the dash mounting. So should I hold out and try to get a wreck/salavaged 1st gen diesel, or piece part the 74 together? I think the getting a whole donor truck would be less headaches, however very hard to find a donor truck.

I have yet to find a 1st gen diesel in any yard from NYC to Richmond, VA- I'm sure they are out there but good luck finding one.
I think the '74 would be very cool- IMHO
