alternative fuels

How does the cummins (ve pump mainly) handle other fuels like wvo and also bio diesel? I know about the rubber parts with the BD but what about the wvo? I know this pumps don't need much more than 7-9psi, right? how about the rest of the engine?

Thank You.

The methanol in biodiesel will attack the rubber in the older VE pumps but any other oils will be OK. An updated gasket/o-ring kit is about $20 and isn't to hard to install if you want to run B100. I think biodiesel blends up to B20 will be ok even in the older sealed pumps.

Make sure the WVO is hot and the hard parts will be OK. The original rubber will get eaten up eventually.

I read the sticky for replacing seal already so that will be covered (no problem spending $20 to save fuel from leaking latter) before the drop IN.
