Some are familiar with my saga of getting my Ebay purchase from CA to TN. It came in last week but I was in New Orleans doing some serious drinking for four days so I picked it up at a friend's place today. No big suprises as of yet so, I can't complain. As I had it shipped with the rear outer Alcoas in the cab, I had to put them on right away. Thanks to this site, and I mean THANKS, I knew what to look for. This truck has 147 thousand miles on it. The innner stock rear wheels were "coined" and the back of the Alcoas is flat. This thing has been riding around with about 1/8th of and inch seperating the tires and essentially four out of the eight lugs snugging the wheels together. The backs of the Alcoas are scarred where the raised portion of the lug pattern was pulled into the wheel. Anyone have 1/4 " spacers that are coined to fit the stock pattern. My local tire shop got me two thin spacers at an obscene price and I would have to machine those. Unless one of you will share with me your experiance and wisdom, tommorrow I will be torching the center out of some old 16 1/2" wheels laying around here. Sorry for the long post. I got tired of explaining this problem to every tire jockey I ran in to today. Most didn't even know that the wheels could go on wrong. But past posts on this site indicate a lot of us have met those folks. Send me your wisdom and part numbers to solve this easy-to-many-of-you problem. Thank you, packratc

SINCE my dana 80 swap.
the dana 80 hubs are not coinedto accept the stock wheels.
i bought 2 alluminum cheapo 1/4" spacers and had them chamfered to fit the wheel (tappered)
then i put on my wheel .the chamfered parts(4 out of the 8 holes) help hold the wheel centred
then goes on my custom spacers- which i u use a tapered lug nut and the spacer is hub centric.
my custom spacers have the chamfer in them for yhe next wheel.
so long story short all you need is two 1/4 inch wheel spacers that are chamfered.
less then $100 total/

Take a die grinder and just cut larger coin reliefs.
Remember the alcoa's will be centered by the lug nuts. The inner dual will center off the hub.
Just grind your reliefs larger than the outer coins on the steel rim.

Packratc, I took a pair of old front rotors and cut the face off,where the 8 lug holes are, then chucked those in the lathe and trued up the back side where I cut them, think they ended up being about 1/2" thick, then took a larger countersink to everyother hole to accept the coined wheel. This should give you the clearance you need between the tires and also a flush fit on the coined wheel and the alcoa wheel.
Sorry I don't know what number the Alcoas are. I do know that I lack one center for the rear. I went to an off-road performance place today. Mentioned my problem. The guy was familiar with it and went in the back room and came out with a used set of 1/4" spacers. Twenty-five cash and no receipt and we're both happy. I'll camfer them with a Dremel or a large bit and I should be good to go. It was great to find someone that I didn't have to explain the whole thing to and even draw them a picture. Maybe I'll go out on a limb and learn to posts photos and someone can tell me about the wheels. Thanks, packratc

I'll see if I can find the number. I believe they are some numbers stamped on them. Ones I've seen for sure are 16x6, not to exceed 80psi and max load rating, I believe.
My grandpa has a set on his '02 and has mentioned replacing them in favor of 17s. If he follows through with the plan, I'll let you know
