Just maybe there's other folks around here as dense and hard to educate as myself. Not likely, but... I came up with something I understand for remembering the relationship between air, fuel and EGT's.

I was drinking my morning coffe pondering EGT control and there it was: Add more coffee [fuel] to the cup and the temperature goes up. Blow on it [turbo air] and it cools down. Blow on it really hard [turbo upgrade] and it really cools down. Add cold tap water [water injection] and it cools off even more. Add alcohol [methanol] and MORE POWER [but you may need to see your doctor if it's methanol in your coffee cup]. So, it's all about a matter of balance between these things related to EGT's. Hope that helps others to remember....

 

Add some ice and whiskey and you get really cool Irish coffee...

Yea, and Paddy and Mike were stumbling past the old graveyard one night arm in arm with a good load of Irish Whiskey aboard each.

"Sure now, Paddy, when I'm gone my way to the other side, would ya be so good to do me the honor of getting a fine bottle of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey and pouring it over me grave, old friend?"
