What was the first year that Dodge put a drivers side air bag in their trucks?

 

I dont remember my 93 having A bags but my 95 does. Id say 94 due to the body style change.

 

I know my dads 94 had one. He was scared of it and took it out. He set it in the back yard, ran a wire to it and set it off. After the boom he said "And they put that in the steering wheel right in your face??"

 

Have you ever eaten a steering wheel at 55+ mph? It leaves a mark.

My 94 had one and it went off in my face when it was totaled. It wasn't near as bad as expected, a few burns on my wrists. Didn't even knock my glasses off. Bent the tat out of the wheel too. I had always heard bad things but wasn't near that bad.
The worst part was my truck was gone. But on the good side I have a nice first gen that I like even better.

 

Thanks, I had heard that they started in 92 with the drivers side but mine doesn't have one so it must have been 94.
