ABS, Brake light, alternator gauge?
ABS, E brake lights stay on, Alternator gauge hitting 18, 17.9 on a volt meter, any thoughts? Tried a new Volt. Reg no luck there. All new battery and cables, only because they were in bad shape.
At one point in its life it looks like it my have blown up a battery, not sure when, I have only had it 2 months, PO said the Alt. Was new.

1. The voltage regulator isn't...... either it's bad, or it is not grounded well to the negative battery terminal, that is there's a ground strap fault somewhere. The other possible wiring fault is the wire between the voltage regulator and the alternator is shorted to ground. It will blow another battery, and probably a lot of other electrical stuff, including the PCM.
2. If the e-brake switch, or the vacuum switch is on, both brake warning lamps will light and stay lit.
