what could some reasons be that truck blows white smoke @ cold start?

It is normally for some at cold startup.

The KSB advances the timing until the engine temp reaches about 100 degrees.

could that be a reason for some of the white smoke? its wierd somedays it blows a good bit of it till its warm and somedays it wont blow any?

Timing advance + cold can produce white smoke. The colder it is the more likely you will see it.
