got the old girl painted this weekend. I used napa's crossfire semi gloss black acrylic enamel with a little bit of gloss black mixed into it for a nice satin sheen. got the wheels painted and got her back on her feet, and started putting parts back on....oh, and i started it up for the first time in about 5 months...yeah...good weekend!

Everyone has their own taste, the first thing that I would change, is the owner.

Nice pin stripping, i like the look of the truck. Theres a truck at work that may be getting a new home soon, i hope to get it road worthy even though its in rough shape.

I recently began tossing around the idea of building a new bed for mine. I have a cheapo harbor freight welder that can do flux core or mig. I've never welded before but I figure I could put in some practice on some scrap pieces until I feel that the welds are good enough to hold bigger pieces together. I think I could learn a lot from this thread as far as pictures go.

gotta question for you guys.... i want to put bags in the back soon. all the kits i've found for our trucks go on the outside of the frame, which wont work with my cab and chassis d70 (not enough clearance between frame and tire). so i was thinking of getting a kit for any truck that has them mounted to the axle tube and the bottom of the frame, and then build upper mounts to fit my truck, i just dont know which kit would be the best start. any suggestions?
