92 D250 auto no o/d what next??

92 D250 auto no o/d what next??

my brother has a 92 D250 2wd auto wont shift into o/d I rewired tps with Raidio Shack pointeneometer nothing checked wires at plug on tranny one hot 12v other not.. changed o/d solinoid mounted to side of valve body still no o/d even applyed ground to wire going to solinoid nothing what is going on?? hooked up code reader only cone is 24 TPS voltage high-low depends on where you pos. pointeneometer.. any ideas similar experances thanks for any info

My problem was in the steering wheel , pulled the horn cover off !!!! Some "po" had cut all the wires and took the 4-way plug, go figure. Re soldered the wire s up to 4-term., plug tryin to find donner pulg now.

YOu had to do that to fix the overdrive or cruise control? I didn't know any of those wires behind the steering wheel had anything to do with Overdrive
