I think I have heard of it so definitely will start looking into it a bit more. Have new water pump in, new radiator, new thermostat, punched the kdp back in and peened around the slot, timing cover gasket, front main, tensioner, belt, and one wire alt. I put in an aftermarket 180° thermostat for now so when I do everything on the passenger side of the engine I'm gonna put the factory Cummins one in that I got from genos garage. It just didn't arrive in time, but I'll run the trisodium phosphate through the system right before I replace the oil cooler and heat exchanger. This way I know the new ones will have a nice clean system to provide coolant.

Have you tried Restore provided by Fleetguard? Its on the Cummins website for some reason it popped up when I typed in Trisodium phosphate on Google. It says it's an alkaline based cleaner.

I haven't used TSP since 1975. That's why I didn't get into specifics. I drove my van for a week and kept an eye on the radiator.

Alright I think I'm gonna try out the restore plus first since Cummins recommends it and see what happens it has a mild acid-based chelating cleaner seems a bit heavier duty compared to the regular restore product which is just alkaline based.

Zerex? It's a brand of Valvoline which was based here in Ashland. NAPA sells it so that's what I use. G5 is supposed to meet the Cummins specs. I've run it in my Cummins for close to 20 years and in everything else for longer than that. I mix 50/50 or 75/50 (oh lordy let's not go there again).

That's some interesting math there. Is that kind of in relation to Kentucky windage KRB?

Never imagined I'd hear "Jethro" and "text" in the same sentence...
