727 endplay help please
Rebuilding my 727 in my 91 and on final assembly my endplay is measuring 0.090" spec is 0.035-0.084. I have tried all different mixes of thrust washers but I never am able to get it close to what it is supposed to be. I have a 0.120 fiber washer on stator support (Max size) a 0.062 washer between front and rear clutches. And a stock thrust washer and race washer between the input and output shafts. This combination is the Max stackup Chrysler specifies but endplay is too big. Tailshaft is installed too. don't know what to do...

I found a thicker shim for between the input and output shafts .084 instead of .068. Also found snap ring in tailshaft worn, flipped snap ring over and restested. Endplay is .075 now
