My 90 w/3.07's and the getrag i just installed w/35in tires did 120mph in 4th on the dyno. At 75 mph on the inersate the motor is lugging a bit. Dont have a tach yet but you can hardly hear the motor running.
BUT -
Don't forget drag on these barn doors...
They got a drag coefficient that resembles a flat plate ( Cd=1.25 ).
I saw a Cd for a '94 Ram 2500 listed at .500 - ours HAS to be more, they've got a tilted windshield and somewhat streamlined fenders

I changed the fuel filter and primed it with ATF to see if it would clean the injectors a lil and maybe free up some power. no dice. i will try a real life injector cleaner as well. i have little faith in the mechanic in a bottle but its so cheap its well worth a try.
i would completely agree with you if not for the fact that two of my friends have 727 3.07 89's that both do better on the top end. the sister truck to mine does about 77, and the other SRW truck does 90. strangly enough, this was not so before he got a pump rebuild and some new injectors.

so my 89 will only do about 67 mph with my foot jammed to to the floor. there is no more play in the throttle cable. that got me to 2 up from 65. the truck belonged to a storage place that used it to tow gooseneck trailers. Is this the result of possibly some low rear end gears(i'll see if i can find the tag) or maybe a governer?
i would prefer not to turn up the pump as i do not want to spend the money on a pyro.
any ideas?

like that will stop us

what about backing out the high idle screw to get more rpm?
its probally the low rear end gears. i dont think a gov spring would hurt it thou, your adding rpm. not really fuel

Nearly all of us has had no play in the throttle cable but found out we don't have full throttle movement. Just because there's no play in the throttle cable doesn't mean you're getting full throttle

If the throttle is not hitting the pump with the high idle screw backed out - then you don't have FULL throttle.
That's with someone INSIDE the cab pressing the throttle.
