6 X .012 injectors

I have a set of "performance" injectors that I am considering installing, I had them rebuilt and they are ready to install.

My question is that I don't know how "big" they are. The only specs that I have is what is written on the package "6 X .012"

So how do these compare to POS's or Bosh 190's or stock sticks?

I have a PSD intercooler, larger turbo housing, big exhaust, BHAF, and pump mods. I would like some smoke at start off, but would like i to clean up once the turbo kicks in.

Just need a lttle input before I just throw them in and see what happens.

Yes that chart does help Thanks for the info!

So if POD's are- 4x14 = .000615 (62% larger than stock)

and the closest on the chart to these injectors are the 6x13 = .000795 Than the 6X12's are a little smaller than the .000795.

So they are bigger than the POD,s and if POD,s haze at a idle, what will the 6X12's do?

I would think that 6 smaller holes at 12 compared to 4 at 14 would give me better amatomazion (sp). Just gessing,...

If I put these in and it smokes too much, can I just turn down the fuel screw for less smoke? and would that hurt performance?

I just want the a clean burn after turbo spool up, and wile towing the 5th wheel. The EGT's dont seem to be a problem with the Super Duty Intercooler.

BTW the truck is in my shop, with both sets of injectors out rebuilt, and ready to install, I just need to decide what to install, and do it quickly!

Any other input is appreciated!

I would run the 6X.012's. I am not a fan of POD's.

PODS are a dirty injector. They have the wrong spray pattern for our pistons/cylinders. The 6x.012s might have the correct pattern and will probly atomize better (as you thought) if the pop pressure is correct and such.

Throw them in and see what happens.

Well I decided to put the stockers back in. The 6.x12's just seemed too big for what I plan on doing with the truck. I have run them while the were in the the doner truck. but just for a short time, and never pulled with them.

I will probablly sell the 6x12's and find some milder ones to install down the road.

Thanks again for all of the input, I'll be driving the truck again tomorrow, and hope the rebuilt stocks take care of my smoking problem.

I was able to take the truck for a run today and it runs great, It has just the right amount of smoke, and cleans up niceley. Overall I am happy with the performance of the rebuilt stockers!

Looks like that was the source of my smoking problem, they have been getting worse, I would back off the fuel screw and it would clear up for a short time, then start smoking again.

Good to go,..

Your haze at idle depends upon your timing really, and ability to clean up at speed depends at turbo
