518 built and runnin good

Here's a pic of my new transmission...wanted to get a quick one up before she gets dirty! Enjoy....sorry if its not too good. Towed a 16' flatbed loaded down with a bunch fencing this weekend, and it was in the mountains....ran great. The Denny T II and the 3200 spring are workin' wonders. Gotta get some gauges next. Puttin a cold air on this weekend, so she's comin' along. Thanks again for all the help and advice.

Well, for the full meal deal, it was about $2800.00...that was with a new heavy duty torque converter, shift kit, potentiometer, new valve body, new transmission casing, new cooler lines, and to top it off a BD sump pan...that's cost of parts, labor, etc...not cheap, but I wanted it done right.

Do you know what clutches and other hard parts he used?

Cool deal.

I used Borg-Warner clutches....hopefully I spelled that right....the torque converter is from High Torque here in Idaho....he also put a new transmission case on cause the one I had a heal coil in her the size od a dime...never could get it to seal up. So now that's fixed. No leaks at all. Any Treasure Valley Idaho guys looking for tranny work, see Darren at General Transmission in Nampa...great guy to work with. Truck is running awesome.

Nice! I got my truck from Nampa almost 2 years ago. Stampede Dodge I think it was. Rode Harley there, brought truck back.

Yeah, I know the manager there! Their trucks are usually high priced though. He had a 93 with over 200k and wanted almost 7! But I guess they go through em pretty good.

Yeah, I paid 8500. But it was clean and low miles and I wanted it. It was also 2008 when the economy was hummin along.
