Thumbs up 5.7 Hemi VS my old 89

Whike i drive 100 miles a day for work, mostly highway, I have very little chance to play with others...
But the other day was an exception, I was encouraged by the happy driver of a new 5.7 Hemi powered Dodge PU,
He slowed and waited for me after the EZ pass tolls, He in the right lane, me in the fast lane, we held the traffic at bay for just a bit, cruising at 50 mph or so, and when he started to pull away with a big grin on his face, I slowly floored it in 4th, and ran up through 5th to 3K rpm, I have 355 rear,, By the time i was defueled, I was many lengths ahead, Mabey 8 lengths or more, I didn't have the H2O meth running, I was out at the time,
Now i dont know how peppy those 5.7s are, But Now i think that I NEED MORE POWER SCOTTY!!!!,
All in all it was fun, and the Hemi driver was happy with himself, and gave me and my old rig thumbs up!
Peter.

Thats a nice kill. I drove my friends hemi with exhaust cold air and a chip and it ran real nice. Those 5.7 are pretty stout.

The other day in my auto truck I beat a new Dodge Charger r/t 340hp Hemi in the 1/8th mile 9.64 at 75mph to 9.85ish. He was very interested in what I'd done to the old truck after that pass. I'm not sure what HP the truck Hemi is.

Well that is interesting to know! I have no idea of the power i put down, I still am running the stock injectors for the non IC engine, All i know is that the bugger moves ok! I wish i had the water/meth filled at the time.
I hope to get dyno'd soon to see what an early non IC puts out with my stage lll h1c and stage ll water/meth!
