4x4 Shifter Boot
4x4 Shifter Boot
Sorry but I have not done my own looking, other than seaching in here.
What is available to replace the 4x4 shifter boot on the W series of trucks? I have one, but you may as well not have it.
There is the option of doing a Red Green
(duct tape, for you non-Canucks out there). Just trying to figure out my options.

If you still have the old one, it is a simple matter to use the old one as a pattern and cut a new one from either thin leather, or vinyl.
Clean and paint all the metal parts.
Use harness rivets to attach the new one to the metal frame.
Almost any 4x4 boot will work.
Older Chevys are almost identical.
On the son's truck, I took a heavy piece of truck-tire-liner, cut a slit for the pole, and installed it under the boot, thus providing a much better seal for sound and foreign objects.
