47rh lock without a switch
47rh lock without a switch
i am swapping a 47rh in to my 1991 and i am wondering if anyone is running there lock up with having to flip a switch , i am building the truck so my wife can drive it too . i turn the less switches the better .
When I was going to do the 47RH swap, my plan was to use a delay on relay piggy backed to the OD. Then use an adjustable pressure switch in the boost line to unlock it under high boost situations and an on/off switch to turn it off when you don't want it, like when towing. Both the on/off and boost switches would be wires ahead of the delay on relay so to restart the sequence of when lock up occurs.

The plugs are the same and a portion of the wiring is the same also, but in order for the 94-95 pcm to work you need to move some wires around the plug to match old to new.I'm gonna find out this summer with my new project what will be involved to swapping them over.
Haven't had mine apart yet, but pretty sure the 518 has a 2 pin connector where the 47RH has a 3 pin connector.
