What makes the 4wd light come on on the dash? Mine has always worked and tonite there's no light in 4 HI OR 4 LO. Is it just a wire on the lever or what? I haven't checked as it was pitch dark when I discovered it. Thanx!

 

either the bulb behind the dash area where it used to light went out, or the sensor that is ontop of your transfer case went out. Do a search on transfer case sensors and a post on this same issue about a month ago will pop up. it will have part numbers for the sensor.

 

I'll check it today. I rearched the springs yesterday and I could have jerked something loose in the battle.
