4" exhusts systems

I have been looking at 4" systems for my truck Stans is $570 +frt. Diesel Performance systems is $377 frt incluaded and Rip Rooks 4" system is $530 I can pick it up as I am only about 40 miles away. The DPS systems is a big $170 + savings over the other 2 systems. Any body use these exhust systems. Stans and Rip Rooks systems are full 4" systems. DPS uses a smaller head pipe to a 4" exhust . Thanks Ken

The Diesel Performance Systems setup is $377 because it uses a 3" down pipe whereas the other 2 systems use a 4" down pipe.

Better prices on DTR Company Store (depending on your CTD year) and the MBRP system is top of the line!!
Also helps keep this site free!

And, they don't build anything that fits a 1st gen... Next please...

Has anyone been able to compare Stan's and the Rip Rook setup for fit etc? Just curious, some day my truck will get a 4" exhaust.

I have the stans system. It is pricey but the quality is very good. I bought mine just before the price went up.

Did yours come as a straight pipe system or did you get a muffler delete pipe made up somewhere?

you could order it either way, i opted for the straight pipe so i didn't have to bother with getting a delete pipe or getting rid of the muffler afterwards

I haven't personally compared them. I have Stan's kit (minus muffler) and I love it. Definately a high quality setup. The fit is perfect on my D250. Everyone will say the same about Rip's setup. High quality and no fitting problems. Buy whichever is cheaper/closer to you. I think you'll be happy either way you go.

Just put a Rip's kit on mine this past week... 2nd pipe, that goes around X case was cut and bent wrong. Me and a very well known person on another site wasted a Friday afternoon and 1/2 the evening trying to get it in there, would not go. Had to take to my local shop and have them get it right.

Ive got a stan's on mine and really love it. It went on really easy and everything fit great. I started out with a muffler but it was too quiet so it took it off and put a straight pipe in there. The muffler they use is straight through so if you were thinking of starting out with a muffler it is really easy to put a straight pipe in later if its too quiet for ya.

Stans seems to be one of the better ones and thats what should be expected, they make some good quality stuff, and probably the only company that makes full length headers for a 6.2 Diesel engine.
