3rd gen seats or racing seats?

I'm kind of lookin around for some 3rd gen seats to put in my truck. I want them because of the center console that folds down and the possibility of puttin a cup holder on it from genos. My stock seats are still okay but after you sit on them for about an hour, then they get completely hard and uncomfortable. I've been lookin for some 3rd gen seats but haven't been able to find some for a good price and i have found brand new racing seats for less than 3rd gen seats. I wasn't really wantin to go with racing seats but they do seem kind of cool, but they're probably not that comfortable for daily driving right? Or is there some racing seats out there that are pretty comfortable? what do you guys think.

I have fixed back Mastercraft suspension seats in my truck. I took these out of my Jeep since I got another set for it. I can sit in them while wheeling all day and they are still comfy at the end of the day. The fixed back kinda sucks for a truck, but they do offer recline-able ones.

I'll get new covers that match the truck's interior someday, haha.

Racing seats scream ricer, in my opinion. I'd keep the search on for some 3rd gen seats.

For what it's worth, my cousin had racing seats in his old turbo Gallant, and they were pretty comfortable. I only drove it in 20-25min bursts though, so I can't tell you how they'd be in a long distance drive. I must be crazy though, because I think my 1st Gen bench seat is really comfortable, and I've done an 8hr round trip in it.

Dude, I put Bomz racing seats in my truck. I got em from a friend for $50, and they are thinner profile than the 3rd gen seats, and more comfortable. A 3rd gen center console fits nice right between them. I should post some pics. They go for like $350 new though. i bet fleabay might have some used ones.

I'm looking at the same thing. I've got a set of 3rd gen seats out of my 06 that I took out when I swapped to leather. I'm thinking about putting them in my 90 if they fit.

I kinda think the 3rd gens will fit in a reg cab better if you're tall, but don't take my word for it. I love how mine turned out. fits me like a glove!

Waiting for photobucket... I will say, before you drool all over em austin, they are a pain in the butt to get in and out of. The quality of the seats isn't the greatest, but they are very comfy!

Bracketry, pretty simple. I think it's a 2"x2" 1/8" wall with bolts welded to it go go in the factory holes, and two 1"x1" 1/8" wall across the two, and a few pieces of scrap to kinda finish the ends.

Oh, and the red looks to be coming off of the seats cuz it's fabric paint. they were originally pink there, but I got em for cheap so i tried to change the color. they come in almost any color though. I should take pics from outside the truck. I like how they look.
