My seat does look close to the dash in that picture but it is not really that close, the only reason i have it close is to recline it back without hittin the back of the cab. You can have it all the way back and the back of the seat all the way up and it is pretty far back there but i can't drive like that cause my back aches when i sit up really straight and that is why i put these seats in. They are comfortable and i think will fit any height of person if positioned back.

Nice job, looks good.

I like the seats in my 2nd gen trucks too. I may put one in my 1st gen someday.

The seats were out of a junkyard and out of an 05' ram 1500 4dr. they are manual and the only thing they don't do is lean forward to get stuff behind the seats but you can slide the seat up for that, they are the premium cloth seats out of a slt i believe. The mounting brackets are the same for a regular cab as for a 4dr so any seats will work with a little fabrication.

Nice. I was thinking the other day that some new seats would be nice so now I need to either buy a welder or find someone who has one so I can get some in my rig.

He sold the truck ... by the way..the 03-05 seats are way more comfy then the 06-07 ones....the lumbar on the 06-07 is like weird. it like kinks you all up.

Are the 3rd gen seats any closer to the steering wheel? My cousin put 2nd gen seats in his 1st gen, and I can't drive it because I am too tall (6'2"), and my knee always hits the steering wheel as I am going for the brakes. They are so nice and comfortable on my back, but just kills my legs. Are these 3rd gen seats any better, or do i need an extended cab?
