3rd gen seats for $200 a good deal?

Thought I'd get an opinion from you guys. Got a set of 40/60 seats from a 3rd gen that's the right color at the local salvage yard in decent shape (1/2" rip on the fold down console).

I heard the 3rd gen seats fit with some easy fab work, or mount bending... What have you

Anyway, is $200 a fair price? Saw it while getting a P/S intercooler for $150.

I don't know the prices, but I know I am not impressed at all with the seats in my 05. The black leather looks good, but man are those things uncomfortable compared to the seats in my 02. I've actually thought about swapping 2nd gen seats into my 05 if I could find some to match.

yup, gray cloth seats, and like I said: just a little 1/2" tear on the leather part that is the arm rest of the console, and that is pretty un noticable.

I'll hear all input and make my desicion in the AM I guess.

I thought it was awesome compared to the leather electric seats my buddy bought for his old Ford on Ebay for close to $1000!!!!! hahaha, I still laugh at him!

if that were me, i'd be sold. i'd love to put 3rd gen seats in mine. with the option of a console that flips up if you need a 3rd seat and flips down when you need something to lean on, that's amazing! can't wait to find a junk yard near me with newer trucks in it.

That's not a bad price. I'd look around though. I've picked up 98.5-02 and 03-05 seats for 100 bucks with no rips or stains.

THanks for the input guys. I hear that there are better deals out there, but up here in the woods there are limited resources especially for new trucks. The 2 "local" pick and pulls are shut down and there was rarely anything new in there. I think I'll run up to Bangor today and grab them! Got lots to install when I get back from sea!
