Thumbs up 3rd gen seats are in and lookin good

I got mine put in last night and let me tell you it is like drivin down the road in a cadillac now, i have 250 it the whole deal and i think it was well worth it, Here are some pics with the steps i used,
Here are the seats in the truck.

Front mounting bracket. I got a piece of 1 1/2 .095 round tubing and cut 4 2" spacers in which i bent the origional brackets on the 3rd gen seats to a 90 degree angle so the spacers would fit flat against the bracket and the floor, i then put a 4" long 5/16 bolt through the floor with big fender washers on each side. there are 4 brackets on the front you have to do that to,

For the rear mounting brackets i cut all the 3rd gen ones off and used the two outer ones that i cut out of the 4 and welded them onto the side of the bracket on the seat frame in which i then bolted through the floor with 1 1/4 5/16 bolts with fender washers on each side, you don't need spacers on the rear, I only used two mounting spots in the rear cause the center section of the seats is on the tranny hump, The seats have a total of 6 mounting spots four in front two in rear,

Here is a pic of the front middle mounting brackets,

And the finished product, I used the stock first gen seat belts and yust ran them up between the seats,

And thats it it only takes about 2 hours and requires some welding, so there it is and i strongly reccommend puttin these seats in your alls first gens it is so comfortable.

Yeah mine sit just as low as stock, did you cut the rear brackets off? How did you mount yours? I am pretty satisfied with mine so far and love the way they set.

I cut off the 2 inner brackets both front and rear (I think, its been 2 years). We used angle iron to mount....Ill have to get pics of mine. I gave $200 for mine, but I dont like them...theyre the base cloth and dont have the middle console. BTW, where did you get your mats?

Got my mats from a friend and they were made for a 70's-80's chevy truck and he said they looked funny in it so i took them off his hands for free. I thought about using angle iron too but they sat too high so i cut all the back mounts off and it seems to set in ther well.

Headroom is fine on mine...I just want to lower mine cause I dont have tilt column so its a tight fit for the legs.

How tall a guy are you beater? They look close to the dash. Ive been thinking about doing the same and getting rid of my factory buckets but they always look closer to the dash.

Thumbs up

Where did you find those seats? I am looking for a good bucket set up with center console. I assume they are from a base model single cab right? since they are basic cloth and have manual adjustments. Junk yard? E-bay? They look way cool!
