3,200 RPM spring cut
Anyone have any data of roughly how much the RPM goes up for each coil cut off? I know a lot of people cut two coils off, how much does that raise the defueling limit?

It's my understanding the 4K spring makes the throttle somewhat touchy.
I run a 3200 spring with two loops cut out and still have a little over 400hp to the ground at 4100rpm . . . if that helps.

3800rpm spring is similar to the 3200rpm spring as far as tensional strength but it is about 5 or 6 coils longer. The trimmed 4200rpm spring is very touchy! Its very similar to a 4k kit in a P7100. I havent messed with a trimmed 3200rpm spring...you guys have me curious now!

3800 or 4200 spring requires aftermarket valve springs so you don't float a valve, and on a mostly stock truck the bigger springs are pretty uselss.
the 93 has a 3200 spring in it and the power drops off at about 3500

I can already hit 3800rpm with a 3200 spring. I may clip mine or get a 4200rpm governor spring in the future after some 60 lb springs and a few other things.

Oh okay, so what would be some supporting mods to go all the way up to a 3800 or 4200 spring?

When I put my 3200 - with 2 coils clipped and one coil bent for the hook -
I still had my stock sticks and with the power screw 1/4 turn back from runaway my tach regularly went to 3800 - and above.......
Just not very quickly - you had to give it time to rev past 3500, but it would hit 3500 easily.
