2nd gen wheels on 3rd gen wheel setup?
2nd gen wheels on 3rd gen wheel setup?
i have the 3rd gen wheel setup on my w250 (1.5" spacers, 9/16 lugs and so on) as we speak but found a good deal on 2nd gen wheels and good tires as my tires are getting thin. can i run the second gen wheels (alloys not steel) without changing anything? for instance, lug nuts, cutting lugs off to make wheels fit? suggestions?
I recently put a set of 16" steel 2nd Gen wheels on my crewcab. They were a direct bolt on, even though they have a slightly deeper off set then the stock rims. 3 3/4" on the 1st gen rims, and just shy of 4 5/16" on the 2nd gen'ers.
So I saw pull off you hub adapters your using for the 3rd gen wheels and bolt up the 2nd gen'ers and go. You might need different lug nut?
