2nd gen truck purchase

1995 Ram 3500 cummins Auto 4x4. 269k miles, Decent cab, hood; test drives good; engine, trans sound/feel good, strong. Body paint faded. Bed is beat up, it's a work truck. One dually fender flare cracked. No rust. Frame, bumpers very good. Decent interior.

Is $3700 price good?

Sounds not bad to me. But it also depends on your region. I've seen huge differences in asking prices in different geographical, and urban areas.

Check out local craigslist ads around your area(s) to get a feeling for what people are asking.

Here in SoCal I often search Craigslist 1st gen or 2nd gen trucks $5000 or less, and if I found one and called 3 days after the listing date, it's sold.

This one was posted last night for $4500, I called this morning, I went to see it and we haggled to $3700.

A few years ago in Phoenix Az, I found my 95 donor truck (my 47RH swap) listed for $3000 with a 160k miles blown engine (but was still running), I called all day leaving messages and got a return call. I went to see it right away with $2000 cash, laid it on the hood, and almost kneeled before the seller to give the truck to me. He did!
